Presentation at Australian Health and Medical Research Congress 2010
16 November 2010
Neopec researchers from the O’Brien institute and the University of Melbourne Department of Surgery today presented details of development of a tissue matrix that can encourage development of fat cells in vivo. The work provides proof of concept that cellular extracts formulated into hydrogels can be used to enhance fat growth. This is an important step in Neopec development because, if it can be developed for human application, it will enable us to selectively speed fat growth in our patients.
Similar work was also presented at the Surgical Research Society Conference in the same month in Adelaide.
