Prof Wayne Morrison
Professor Wayne Morrison is the Director of the O'Brien Institute and Executive Director of the O'Brien Foundation. He was Professor of Surgery at St Vincent's Hospital, Melbourne and Head of Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery until November 2009. He was also the Hugh Devine Professor and Head of The University of Melbourne Department of Surgery at St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne and most recently awarded the B.K. Rank Professorship for the Australian Society of Plastic Surgery and the Prince Henry's Medal (Royal Australian College of Surgeons). Professor Morrison was awarded an AO in 2000 and Honorary Fellowship at the Royal College of Surgery in Ireland 2002.
He is past President of the World Society of Reconstructive Microsurgery (WSRM), Asian Pacific Federation of Societies for Surgery of the Hand, (APESSH) and the Australian Hand Surgery Society. Honorary member of the International Society Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (SAPS), Executive Member of International Society Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (IPRAS).
He has written over 250 articles and published the book "Reconstructive Microsurgery" with Bernard O'Brien.
