Dr Lyndal Thorburn

Dr Lyndal Thorburn was appointed Non-Executive Director of Neopec in October 2010 and has since taken on the role of Managing Director.
Lyndal has 15 years' experience in technology commercialisation, focussing on life sciences and technology transfer out of Australian R&D institutions. She is former Managing Director of Innovation Dynamics Pty Ltd, through which she was co-author of seven annual biotechnology industry reports and supported industry and R&D clients in development of business cases, market research, business planning and capital raising. Lyndal has a biology degree, post-graduate qualifications in accounting and legal studies and a PhD on innovation and the development of the biotech industry in Australia.
She is a former ACT Telstra Businesswoman of the Year and was a finalist in the Women in Technology Awards in 2007.  Prior to establishing her first company in the mid 1990s, Lyndal spent ten years in research administration and project management with the CSIRO. She is also a former director of AusBiotech Ltd.
